The New Courthouse - Dedication Ceremony |

The Dedication Ceremony took place on May 5, 2000 and was held in the main entrance gallery on the third floor. More than 700 citizens, community leaders, judges and staff members attended the function.
The Honorable Robert M. Bell, Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals (top right photo) addressed the gathering expressing his pride in the accomplishments of all involved in the construction project. Administrative Judge Clayton Greene, Jr. (at podium in photo below) was the Master of Ceremonies for the program which was hosted by Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens (seated at right).
Jerry Klasmeier (middle of bottom left photo) who served as Director of Central Services for Anne Arundel County through much of the project, was honored by County Executive Owens and Senator Robert Neall. Judge Greene and Judge Heller (bottom right photo) presented Robert Wallace (right), Court Administrator, with a plaque in appreciation for his role in the construction project during both of their terms as Administrative Judge of the Court.
